We Give Thanks

For our Creator God and Father, who gives us life, sustains our lives and cares for us by providing all things for us.

For Jesus Christ, our Savior God, who saved us from our sins, forgives us when we fall, gives us confidence to allow ourselves to love and be loved in imitation of Him.

For the Spirit of God, source of wisdom, who shares wisdom with us when we ask.

For our Church which has supported our belief through the Sacraments and in the community of believers, who support us in our faith and teach us about God’s love for us in their love and support.

For the gift of each other, the love we share and the joy we have found in helping God’s people.

For the family, friends and even strangers, who have taught us how to respond to God’s love for us and for His people.

For our children and the gifts they have been in our lives since their births, especially for the gift of the adult relationships we enjoy with then now. Their goodness continues to inspire us.

For the spouses and about to be spouse of our children who give joy to them and receive joy from them. They have also become our children.

For our grandchildren who are always a delight to us as they grow and we see the faith and other good things that were passed to us coming alive in another generation. We pray for long lives so that we can enjoy them also as they grow to adulthood.

For our health, which allows us to continue to be active and enjoy God’s many gifts to us

For the abundant material gifts that allow us to live in comfort, visit our family, explore the wonders of God’s world and have some to give away to help others.

For you, our readers, who give us a reason to keep exploring the wonders of married life and, in the process, enhance our own marriage.

May you count your blessings and find them many.
